Your router can serve as a camera to detect your movement throughout your home — even in other rooms.

How does it work?
The researcher in the video explains that the first stage involved training the model on two input channels: a regular camera and wireless Wi-Fi signals.
The model learned to associate wave patterns with the presence and movement of bodies in space.
In the next stage, the model was already able to detect people based on Wi-Fi signal movement alone, without the regular camera.

Such technology could prove extremely useful in the hands of intelligence agencies on one side, and criminals on the other.
If it emerges that this technique is being actively exploited, we can reasonably expect to see future improvements to router security protocols in order to prevent such cases.
