An interesting day in cyber...
The UK's National Crime Agency announced today a successful global operation in which it managed to infiltrate LockBit, a sophisticated hacker group that has wreaked havoc and extorted millions from its victims through ransomware.
LockBit's official website has been turned into a live update page tracking the progress of the operation against them, with more information set to be revealed in the coming hours.
One of the more intriguing aspects of the story is that LockBit's founder boasted that his identity was impossible to uncover, and that anyone who managed to identify him would win $10 million.
