Automating SEO for thousands of products with AI and Make

I combined the power of artificial intelligence (ChatGPT and Claude), an automation platform (Make), and the White Tiger website to improve SEO — and the results are nothing short of remarkable.

-

One of the things I learned in a digital marketing course is that to maximize sales on a website, it's crucial to write the copy correctly.
The text needs to target the right audience and evoke the feeling that this is exactly the product they've been looking for.

It also needs to contain relevant information, so that both visitors can easily understand the product's features and search engines can index it effectively — driving greater organic traffic (SEO).

-

Writing a product title and description the right way is a time-consuming task.
You need to review the product's data sheet, understand who the target audience is, and then write appropriate copy — product by product.

At an AI workshop held at Google's offices, which I attended, the speakers showed us how these texts can be generated much faster using AI tools like Gemini.

-

This automation takes those insights and brings them all together:
First, you paste a list of product IDs you want to update into a Google Sheets table.

In the next step, the automation pulls the data for those products from the website.

The product data sheet is then sent as part of a predefined prompt to an AI engine — in this case, you can choose between ChatGPT and Claude.

The AI analyzes the data sheet and uses it to generate new text for the product name and its short description.

In the final step, that data is written back to the product listings on the website.

-

This way, you can edit the copy for thousands of products with the click of a button, at negligible cost (ChatGPT API costs and automation platform credits).

Plans for the next iteration of this automation include:
- Refining and fine-tuning the prompts to prevent errors and adapt them to different product categories and scenarios.
- Adding additional fields such as tags.
- Integrating Gemini as an additional option, since its results in Hebrew may be superior.

-

And here's a small secret to close with:
Although the White Tiger e-commerce site contains a database of more than 10,000 products, it is managed almost entirely automatically.

The secret behind this magic is called SyncShop — a remarkable system I spent 3 years developing. It uploads and removes products, updates inventory, and reprices everything daily according to the USD exchange rate.

Automations like this one for improving the site's SEO are, in my view, another building block in the larger dream of building a massive commerce platform that relies on automated management rather than human labor.
